What is the NCI 75th Anniversary Scholarship?
To mark its 75th year, the National College of Ireland is offering €7,500 off tuition fees to high-achieving international students enrolling in its taught Master’s programmes this September 2026. NCI is prioritising awards in high-demand fields where the Irish job market is currently most short on talent.
Who can apply?
You are eligible if:
- You are an international (non-EU) student
- You have received and accepted an offer for an NCI taught Master’s
- You have paid the required tuition deposit for the September 2026 intake
- You can write a strong personal statement showing academic merit and motivation
Priority programmes (most likely to be funded)
The scholarship is open across all NCI taught Master’s, but the international team has confirmed the following are being prioritised:
- MSc in Data Analytics — strong placement record at Dublin tech firms
- MSc in Fintech — direct pipeline to Adyen, Mastercard, Stripe Dublin operations
- MSc in Cybersecurity — Ireland faces a 17,000-person cyber-skills gap by 2030
- MSc in Human Resource Management (HRM) — CIPD-accredited, in demand at multinational HQ operations
If your shortlist sits in any of these areas, this scholarship is genuinely worth the 24 hours it takes to put together a strong application.
The 5-day plan to apply
- Day 1 — Accept your offer. Log into the NCI portal and formally accept your offer letter.
- Day 2 — Pay the deposit. The scholarship requires confirmed deposit payment before the application is reviewed.
- Day 3–4 — Draft your personal statement. 500–800 words covering academic background, motivation for the programme, career goals, and what you will contribute to NCI’s international community.
- Day 5 — Submit the scholarship application. This is a separate application from your admissions one. Submit on the NCI portal under “Scholarships.”
In our experience with NCI scholarship rounds, the difference between an awarded application and a rejected one comes down to two things: a personal statement that is specific (not template-generic), and timing. Applicants who submit in the first week are reviewed before the late rush — which inflates competition. Two weeks is enough, but only if you start now.
Why this scholarship is worth the effort
€7,500 against NCI’s typical Master’s tuition (€12,000–€16,000 for non-EU) reduces the all-in cost meaningfully. For Indian students, that is approximately ₹6.7 lakh saved — money that goes directly toward Dublin living costs, the €10,000 visa-balance requirement, or first-month accommodation.
NCI itself has a strong international placement record — recently recognised for excellent job employability, with deep industry links across Dublin’s IFSC and tech corridor. We have placed dozens of TMC students at NCI over the past decade, and outcomes consistently match the scholarship’s value.
