How we help with Australia

Application advisor model

University shortlist · SOP & GTE drafts · application management · subclass 500 visa documentation. The university choice is yours.

Why honesty matters here

Australia GTE rejects fast

Australia rejects applications where the GTE narrative is weak or inconsistent. A clean, consistent file isn't optional — it's the entire game.

Four steps from profile to flight.

Same diligence we apply to Ireland and UK files — extended to Australia applications.

01

Profile review

30-minute call. We assess academics, IELTS, budget, family ties (relevant for GTE). Honest take on whether Australia is your best fit.

02

University shortlist

Group of Eight (Melbourne, Sydney, UNSW, ANU, Queensland, Adelaide, UWA, Monash) plus regional universities — chosen for your profile and budget.

03

Application + SOP + GTE

Our editorial team writes the SOP and GTE statement — the most important narrative document. We submit applications and track responses.

04

Subclass 500 visa

OSHC, financial documentation, biometrics, full visa file. Most rejections come from inconsistent GTE — we eliminate that risk.

Six reasons Australia earns a serious look.

We don't sell Australia — we describe it. Decide for yourself.

Questions we hear most often.

Is The Mentors Circle an Australia specialist?
No — our specialty is Ireland and the UK, where we have direct partnerships with 30+ universities. For Australia we work as your application advisor: shortlisting universities, writing SOP and GTE, and preparing your visa file. The university choice is yours; we make sure your file is clean and consistent.
How much does it cost to study in Australia?
Bachelor's tuition: AUD 20,000–45,000 per year. Master's: AUD 26,000–50,000. Group of Eight universities sit at the top end. Living costs (visa minimum): AUD 21,041 per year. OSHC (mandatory health insurance): AUD 600–700 per year. Total first-year cost is typically AUD 50,000–75,000.
What is GTE and why does it matter?
GTE stands for Genuine Temporary Entrant — a written statement and supporting evidence proving you genuinely intend to study in Australia and return home afterward. Australia rejects applications where the GTE narrative is weak, vague, or inconsistent with academic and financial documents. Getting the GTE right is the single most important visa task — and the most common reason for refusal.
What IELTS score is required?
Most universities require IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) for postgraduate entry. Undergraduate entry typically requires IELTS 6.0. Group of Eight and competitive programmes may require IELTS 7.0+. PTE Academic and TOEFL iBT are widely accepted.
Can Indian students work part-time in Australia?
Yes. International students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight (~24 hours per week, averaged) during academic sessions and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks. Post-graduation, the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows you to stay 2–5 years depending on degree level and study location.
