Sanjay Chauhan
Masters in Data Science · University of Canterbury · New Zealand

I was initially counselled by The Mentors Circle team in Mumbai for multiple countries, but their suggestion about New Zealand for a Master's in Data Science struck all the right chords. I graduated from this course at the University of Canterbury and my experience throughout was excellent. They have a precise acumen on the job market, post-study work opportunities, universities, admission criteria and visa process. I'm grateful to everybody at Team Mentors Circle — their guidance turned out to be a life-changing decision.

We don't sell New Zealand — we describe it. Decide for yourself.

🎓

All 8 universities globally ranked

NZ has only 8 universities — all of them rank in the global top 500 (QS). Auckland and Otago in the top 200. Quality is consistent across the country.

💼

1–3 year post-study work

Post-Study Work Visa lets you stay 1 year after a Bachelor's, 2 years after a Master's, and 3 years after a Master's by research or PhD. Open work — no employer needed.

20 hrs/week part-time work

International students can work up to 20 hours per week during term and full-time during scheduled breaks. PhD and Master's-by-research students work full-time year-round.

🌿

Lifestyle & safety

Consistently ranked among the safest countries globally. English-speaking, friendly to international students, stunning natural environment, low pollution — meaningfully different from US/UK city life.

💰

More affordable than Australia

Tuition and living costs are typically 15–25% lower than equivalent Australian programmes. Smaller cities like Christchurch and Dunedin are particularly cost-friendly.

🧭

Skilled migration pathway

NZ's Skilled Migrant Category visa awards points for NZ qualifications. Many graduates qualify for residency after 2–3 years of post-study work — clearer pathway than US/UK.
